MAFP Receives AAFP Grant for Tobacco and Nicotine Advocacy

The MAFP was one of five recipients selected to receive a $10,000 “mini grant” from the AAFP for innovative tobacco and nicotine prevention and control projects at the state and local level.

The applicants selected one of the three key focus areas: clinical intervention, community engagement, or advocacy. The objective of the mini-grants project is for recipients to develop innovative projects that attempt to address tobacco and nicotine prevention and control by addressing clinical practice, social factors, or public policy. The project period is October 1, 2016 - May 15, 2017.

  • Delaware Academy of Family Physicians
  • Kansas Academy of Family Physicians
  • Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians
  • New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians
  • Aultman Family Medicine Residency Program (Canton, OH)
